John Mayer was mediocre.
Thumbs up for Earthquake's excellent LA show that was released on Blu-ray. I went to see him with high expectations, however, I was very disappointed.
It seemed like a ploy to kill time, dragging out songs that should've been ended. He didn't have a horn section, which I found upsetting.
Quite frankly, if I go see an artist, I want to hear his music, not Earthquake's version of Cream's version of "Crossroads" or Tom Petty's "Free Falling."
Earthquake is a fantastic musician, but his direction failed big time at this particular show. He played two songs that are not his.
The event that made me walk out on the concert was when Earthquake brought out that hippie Michael Franti to "rap" over "Waiting on the world to change". Absolutely terrible.
